Kath & Strong One,

There's nothing wrong with using Blogger or WordPress.com. Those sites have a lot of advantages, starting with ease of use. I just knew from my history that I wouldn't be inclined to keep up with that sort of blog, and that I'd only really pursue it long term unless it was my own deal. (My MySpace blog languishes, for example.)

The point being, I'm really only about three weeks ahead of both of you on the learning curve. The barriers to entry are not great. If I can help, let me know, but I'm just trying to make small improvements from week to week. Maybe just setting that example is the best instruction I can give.

I'm right there with ya, although I did not take the leap into webhosting. (at least not yet)
I just wanted to get my voice out there.. and get my blog born.
I'll be looking forward to your findings.. because like Kath, I'll be hitting you up for help.

Hey, I see car ads today - you must be moving up in the world!

I think that posts without images are just fine - sometimes I think it is a comfort to read text without the distraction of a silly picture, unless it's an image that really, really fits.

I'm even more of a novice than you since I've never used RSS feeds - but that's because I'm not quite sure why I would, seeing as I have the link to all the blogs I want to read and can just hit those when I want to read them . . . I am so horribly behind the times . . . I'm a failure at Twitter too . . .

So once you learn all of these wonderful things, you are definitely going to have to teach me how to use them too! :-)
